“Sunny Cafe & Kitchen” is located at the same spot in HSR, where “Sizzling Monk” used to be. We visited the cafe over last weekend for lunch and tried out a few things.
The seating here hasn’t changed much, except for an increased number of tables outside. The menu offers a little bit of everything: burgers, sandwiches, pasta, sizzlers, North Indian curries etc. Beverages include a variety of coffees, teas, fresh juices and smoothies.
“Smise” is a beautiful cafe located on 80 ft. road in Koramangala. It is spread across the fourth floor of a building and has some lovely terrace seating too. The whole terrace area is surrounded with innumerable pots and the breeze is wonderful.
Their menu has plenty of things to choose from – salads, sandwiches, pizzas, sizzlers, shakes and much more. They also have loads of board-games too if you get bored 🙂
“That Garage Cafe” is a garage themed cafe in HSR and part of the place rents/sells cycles and bikes too. The cafe is not very big and has an interesting decor with tables shaped like bike tyres, napkin holders made out of audio cassettes etc. There are some board games as well like scrabble, monopoly etc.
I saw some massive stunning Enfields(I could identify only Americana) outside for sale/rent. So if you are a bike lover, do go to this place.
“The Flying Squirrel” is a small cafe located right above ‘Asia Kitchen’ in Koramangala, and in a short time it has garnered great reviews for its brews.
We dropped in for coffee over a weekend and the place was buzzing. Menu here has a long list of different kinds of brews, and while we both enjoy coffee, none of us is an expert. So instead of choosing one of their brews, we asked for a Vietnamese cold coffee, a black coffee on the rocks and a slice of their freshly baked lemon cake.
This legendary place called ‘The Hole in the Wall Cafe‘ had been on my list forever and I never got to visit it due to the never-ending queues there. The place doesn’t take reservations and parking is a hassle, which doesn’t help the case either!
So the other day when this place popped up on my Swiggy app, I was very happy and we both decided to order from there. They have a superb breakfast menu as well as lots of burgers/sandwiches to choose from. I placed an order for a grilled double chicken sandwich, big ‘shrooms & onions sandwich and a portion of hash browns.
I was bored of my usual burger delivery places when I spotted Biggies on Swiggy. Their menu has quite a lot of choices for subs and burgers, and I placed an order for a classic mushroom sub and a chicken american cheese burger.
Delivery was on time and packaging was good. Both sub and burger looked good in size, but had gone a little soggy due to all the mayo inside them.
Smally’s is a chain of hole-in-the-wall kind of places that churn out delicious comfort food every single time you visit. I have tried their Church Street outlet and had some lip-smacking food there. This weekend we went to the Koramanagala outlet for some takeaway and got a hamster sandwich, magic mushroom burger, chicken stroganoff and red velvet cupcake.
Though the place was not packed my order took a really long time, but their food kind of made up for it.
