Shift is a beautiful lounge in HSR, located right next to House of Commons. It offers a co-working space along with a dive bar spread across three floors.
Both of us were quite taken with its open spaces and headed to the beautiful terrace seating. This area provides a lovely view of the busy streets around and the whole eatery.
Last weekend we visited this beautiful microbrewery called “Bangalore Brew Works”, that had been on my list for ages(I think I say that about a lot of places :)). The place is located on the tenth floor of a commercial building on Residency Road and is a wonderful place to relax & unwind.
We had a reservation and were promptly shown to our table. The place has a very simple decor with solid wood furniture in rich colors. And, though most of the area gets a lovely breeze, there is a section with couches towards the edge of terrace which provides a stunning view of the city.
There was a lot of hype about this new lounge called 612 East in Indiranagar, even before it started functioning. I had added it to my list and a couple of days back while crossing Indiranagar, we decided to drop by and check it out.
The lounge is spread across three floors and we straightaway went to the terrace. It was a beautiful area with comfortable couches and looked like the perfect place to unwind. But it was just around three in the afternoon and hot outside, so we descended to one of the lower floors and took a table inside.
Spotted this place purely out of chance while leaving Lavelle Road the other day. The restaurant is located on second floor of a building and has a lounge called Attic on the third floor. The whole place is bright, airy and has comfortable colourful couches along with some basic wooden benches. There are lots of greens around that make the place look lively.
We were starving and quickly ordered for a tofu, corn & mushroom green curry ramen, red curry ramen with chicken and spinach & mushroom potstickers.
Came far from our house to Phoenix market city over the weekend to catch a certain movie that I didn’t want to watch (I was lured into it by Mr. Husband, but I came out happy since he didn’t like it either ;)).
We had some time to kill before the show, and having never been to Cafe Noir, we decided to visit it. “Noir”(pronounced as nwaa) literally translates to “black” in French, and “café noir” means “black coffee”.
The drive from Zirakpur to Nahan is not particularly pleasant, but as you enter Nahan, you’d be transported to a different world. Narrow lanes covered with small shops, no pollution and the city seems to be caught in a time warp. It’s very peaceful and no one seems to be in a hurry to go anywhere.
There are a couple of resorts near Nahan, and one of them is this beautiful Grand View Resort in Jamta. Good food, beautiful weather and having your family around, what more do you want 🙂
Onesta – check!
This place was long pending on our list and last time while visiting a nearby restaurant, we were amazed to see the long queues here. We decided to get pizzas for takeaway since I was not hoping to get any place there on a Friday.
