HSR is gradually becoming the new Koramangala with a slew of new restaurants, pubs and cafes. And this watering hole is a new addition to the area’s bustling food scene.
I was always curious about this place because of its name, and was very happy when Mr. H suggested it for lunch this weekend so that I could tick it off my list 😀
Their menu says the place is not named after the lower house of parliament in UK. It is called “House of Commons” in a more literal sense, a place which welcomes anyone and everyone 🙂 The establishment is spread over two floors, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating.
Somehow I’m always at a loss of options, when everyone at home decides to have good North Indian food. This Saturday for a change, the laborious task of choosing a restaurant was taken over by Mr. H and he suggested Roots in Koramangala.
I remembered crossing this place many times, but never paying much attention. It’s a comparatively new place, and last I checked it didn’t have great ratings, but this time it had got amazing reviews and ratings had shot up!
So we booked a table for four at 8 p.m. (thank goodness we did!), and reached the place on time to find it completely packed. The place was extremely noisy, and their tables were not placed well making the dining area somewhat cramped. We even started contemplating moving to another restaurant for main course, though that never happened 🙂
Visit to Goa is never quite complete without enjoying its nightlife 🙂 Last time it was Club Cabana, and this time around, we thought of doing some pub hopping in Tito’s lane.
After dropping parents off at home, four of us reached Tito’s around 10 p.m. Entry fees per couple is INR 1000 and you can redeem it against any F&B. The place looks beautiful with a variety of seating. The decor is charming with perfect lighting, elegant furniture and looks like a perfect place to unwind. Dance floor is in a separate section, if you want to shake a leg. Continue reading
Looking for super-boozy drinks with some seriously good food? Head to Harry’s Bar & cafe in Koramangala. I had been to their Whitefield outlet before and loved that too, but now I think I’m slightly biased towards this one.
We usually stay in on Friday nights, thanks to the mad traffic outside. But this Friday, after a restaurant goofed up our home delivery order, we headed out for dinner. And as luck would have it, we didn’t get any table in Fenny’s and Social.
I had Harry’s also on my mind, so we finally went there and bingo! Got a table immediately. The place had booming music and was almost packed. Well, almost 🙂
This place was long pending on my list, and this Saturday we finally got a chance to visit. We made an early reservation for 7:30, assuming that the place must get crowded later. Getting a table of your choice at such a place on a Saturday evening in Bangalore, what more can you ask for! 🙂
We had crossed this place millions of times and never got around to visiting it.
On sunday however, we had plans of visiting another place on St. Marks road, but there was no parking available and we decided to try out biere club. Lucky us!
This place has been one of our favorite microbreweries for a while now. Hubby loves their brews and I’m not much of a beer person, but I love their mojitos. And of course their delectable nandu’s chaat. Unfortunately, our last experience was so bad, we decided never to go back again.
