MTR is a name most of us are familiar with and their outlet on St. Marks road has been a favourite since a long time now. I have been there innumerable times and never been disappointed with food or service.
So I felt compelled to write this piece for those fellow Bangaloreans who haven’t been to MTR yet 🙂
South Indian breakfast cravings sorted!
Saturday morning we were craving for a South Indian breakfast, but none of us wanted to venture out. The newly launched UberEats came to our rescue and we placed an order from Idli & Dosa Cafe for idlis, vada, poori sagu, plain dosa and kuzhi paniyaram (don’t judge, we were hungry 🙂 ).
Weekends always turn both of us into gluttons, not that I’m complaining 🙂 And since it’s a mandate to have pizza on Friday/Saturday, we ordered from good ol’ Domino’s after noticing high delivery times for other places.
After polishing down food from Domino’s with some beautiful Sula Dindori Reserve Shiraz(yes, wrong pairing I know!), we felt the need to have something spicy.
And so I placed an order from Empire, HSR for dosa chicken. Hubby of course being mostly vegetarian, opted for jeera rice and paneer butter masala.
Went here for a quick bite over the weekend. Both of us were craving for dosas and this seemed the closest.
Ordered for rava masala and rava onion dosa. Being on a healthy diet plan(Ha ha!), I asked the server to put less oil in the dosas. Well, turns out you should never do that!
I was very happy when this outlet first opened. Since then I have been here multiple times, and have rarely been disappointed. This one is run by Jabalpur coffee board, so the south indian fares taste a little different (not in a bad way though) :).
Mindblowing! Great food and great service.
Went to this place on a saturday around 7 and it was extremely crowded. We had to wait for almost 25 mins to get a table, but the food was well worth the long wait.
Excellent food with bad service. If you want to snack on dosas, idlis etc and don’t mind unresponsive waiters, this is the place to be 🙂 Continue reading
