I had been planning to visit this place since it opened, and finally did this weekend for lunch.
The place is quite spacious with comfortable seating. I loved the simple yet beautiful decor and decided to take one of the tables outside since the weather was lovely.
Their menu looked pretty good, but unfortunately I couldn’t find kake udon or ramen in there. So I asked for a Hainanese chicken rice(which is apparently on the menu of a michelin star winner!). It was somewhat disappointing after our server mentioned that this dish would take long, and asked me to order a fried rice instead. I eventually settled for salmon nigiri.
I was bored of my usual burger delivery places when I spotted Biggies on Swiggy. Their menu has quite a lot of choices for subs and burgers, and I placed an order for a classic mushroom sub and a chicken american cheese burger.
Delivery was on time and packaging was good. Both sub and burger looked good in size, but had gone a little soggy due to all the mayo inside them.
1 MG Mall has some excellent dining options, Cafe Felix being a recent addition. The word “Felix” roughly translates to happy or lucky according to google and the cafe does look like its name, happy and bright.
I had added this cafe to my to-visit list after reading some great reviews in Bangalore Times. I went here this Saturday and was instantly charmed by the bright interiors and glass walls. The place looked perfect for a lazy lunch with its comfortable seating and rain pattering against glass walls.
The menu is not very big, but filled with delicious dishes. I ordered for a portion of fish & chips and asked my server if they had any cold coffees (there were none on the menu). He graciously agreed to get an iced caffe latte for me according to my specifications.
The recent alcohol ban seems to be really hard on some lounges, but Koramangala Social seems to be completely oblivious to it. I went to this outlet of Social on Saturday afternoon with a friend, and was quite surprised to see the place completely packed.
I was amazed at how beautiful and green the place looked. While Whitefield Social has more of a garage decor, this one kind of resembles a large greenhouse. There are beautiful plants all around and a big bar counter(now a mocktail/smoothie counter) in the middle.
The Beer Cafe claims to be the largest beer chain in India and offers a plethora of choices for beers from all over the world. Of course the place is not just for enjoying beer, it does have a sizeable cocktail and food menu too.
The place is spacious and has a lazy vibe to it. There’s an outdoor section too, with beautiful garden furniture. I recently visited for lunch with a friend and had a nice time.
Phoenix Market City is undoubtedly a delight for both shoppers and foodies. Bar bar is a new addition to the ever expanding list of fabulous eateries at this mall.
“Bar bar” translates to “frequently” in Hindi, or maybe it just refers to “bar”. I am going to assume it means “frequently” since I’d love to go there bar bar. 🙂
We dropped in for lunch after some frantic shopping and had really good food. The place was empty except for a couple of occupied tables. I guess not many people know about it yet.
Smally’s is a chain of hole-in-the-wall kind of places that churn out delicious comfort food every single time you visit. I have tried their Church Street outlet and had some lip-smacking food there. This weekend we went to the Koramanagala outlet for some takeaway and got a hamster sandwich, magic mushroom burger, chicken stroganoff and red velvet cupcake.
Though the place was not packed my order took a really long time, but their food kind of made up for it.
