“Sunny Cafe & Kitchen” is located at the same spot in HSR, where “Sizzling Monk” used to be. We visited the cafe over last weekend for lunch and tried out a few things.
The seating here hasn’t changed much, except for an increased number of tables outside. The menu offers a little bit of everything: burgers, sandwiches, pasta, sizzlers, North Indian curries etc. Beverages include a variety of coffees, teas, fresh juices and smoothies.
Shift is a beautiful lounge in HSR, located right next to House of Commons. It offers a co-working space along with a dive bar spread across three floors.
Both of us were quite taken with its open spaces and headed to the beautiful terrace seating. This area provides a lovely view of the busy streets around and the whole eatery.
There is no lack of watering holes in this city, but The Beer Cafe stands out due to its sizeable beer menu. The place offers beers from all over the world, along with great cocktails and food.
This outlet in VR mall is smaller Koramangala counterpart, but has both indoor and outdoor seating. Decor is very basic, nothing to write home about.
Places like this are saviours when our cook goes on unannounced leaves. We ordered breakfast from here a couple of times and were quite happy with the food.
Mr. H was missing pooris and I was craving for some bondas, so we decided to try out this place which had both! We placed an order for plain pooris, mysore bondas, medu vada and kanchipuram idli.
Last weekend we visited this beautiful microbrewery called “Bangalore Brew Works”, that had been on my list for ages(I think I say that about a lot of places :)). The place is located on the tenth floor of a commercial building on Residency Road and is a wonderful place to relax & unwind.
We had a reservation and were promptly shown to our table. The place has a very simple decor with solid wood furniture in rich colors. And, though most of the area gets a lovely breeze, there is a section with couches towards the edge of terrace which provides a stunning view of the city.
Of late, plenty of excellent ‘home delivery only’ options have popped up in the city. 48 East is one of them, which delivers delicious fares from 48 Asian countries. Their menu changes every week, so you’ll always get something new to treat your taste buds.
Over the past few weeks, I have tried many dishes from this place, some hits and some misses. Read on for more.
Over the first long weekend of the year, after watching the controversial and rather dull Padmavat, we headed off to the outskirts to Windflower Prakruti Spa and Resort. I had read good reviews of this place and was really looking forward to a quiet weekend.
The resort is spread across a vast area covered with trees esp. coconut. We had booked a cottage(actually that was the only choice we got while booking 🙂 ). Read on for how my experience was.
