The Beer Cafe claims to be the largest beer chain in India and offers a plethora of choices for beers from all over the world. Of course the place is not just for enjoying beer, it does have a sizeable cocktail and food menu too.
The place is spacious and has a lazy vibe to it. There’s an outdoor section too, with beautiful garden furniture. I recently visited for lunch with a friend and had a nice time.
I quite liked the fact that the place was not crammed with tables to accommodate too many people. Music was decent and not very loud.
The beer menu here is definitely impressive, but a peculiar thing that I noticed is, they don’t have any desserts!
Here’s a low-down on all the things we tried:
Bira light: Perfect lunchtime beer and doesn’t really need a review, does it? 🙂 And in case you are wondering, I’m not on a diet. They were actually out of bira whites.
Basil mojito: A decent refreshing cocktail with nice flavours. A little watery though.
Chicken nachos: Out-of-the-box nachos that had lost their crispness. Toppings consisted of some molten cheese, salsa and grilled chicken chunks. Chicken was overcooked and chewy. Nothing really good about the dish.
Chilli paneer: Paneer was fresh and the dish tasted nice. The only downside was that it was quite greasy.
Watermelon margarita: This was nice concoction and very refreshing to taste. Do try it out.
Beer cafe is definitely a great place if you are a beer lover, but I won’t really recommend it for food. Servers are very polite and service is quick.
Drinks: 4/5 (extra marks for their beer menu)
