It’s nice to see more and more authentic Pan Asian places opening up in the city. This weekend we spotted a new place called Wok to Asia and went for lunch.
The restaurant has valet parking, so you won’t have any parking woes 🙂 Interiors are neat & bright with colourful origami birds dangling from the ceiling. It serves both buffet and à la carte, and has a beautiful bar counter too.
We opted for à la carte, and they served us with some fryums and kimchi first. I wanted to try out their sushi and we asked for portions of saki maki and spiced tofu and avocado maki.
Both the platters arrived looking pretty and very appetizing. I loved their presentation and what they had done with the pickled ginger(not much apparent in this photo though 🙂 )
Tofu maki: Perfect for vegetarians, this one had delicately flavoured tofu and creamy avocado.
Sake maki: I quite liked this. Salmon was soft and delicately flavoured, and rice was delicious. I loved their wasabi too which was as pungent as it could get.
For main course we both opted for ramen, an exotic mushroom and a wok pho.
The broth of both the dishes was definitely a winner. It was packed with flavours and delectable.
Exotic mushroom ramen came with a bunch of veggies, mushrooms and delicious noodles. Noodles were perfectly done, not mushy and not too hard either. A must try and highly recommended for vegetarians.
Wok pho was also exquisite. I love mushrooms and there were plenty in this broth. Chicken was mildly spiced and perfectly done. A must try.
We had a superb lunch at this beautiful place. Service is a little slow here, but I didn’t really mind since the food was absolutely divine. Worth trying out if you love your sushi and ramen.
