Muffets and Tuffets, Koramangala

Muffets & Tuffets is a beautiful cafe in Koramangala that derives its name from an old nursery rhyme called “Little Miss Muffet“. We went here for lunch this weekend and had some surprisingly good food.

They have a big menu with loads of stuff to choose from, everything from sandwiches, burgers, salads to delicious sounding mains. There is also a very tempting dessert counter which is not to be missed 🙂 The cafe has decent amount of seating and is very quiet & peaceful. Seating is very comfortable and service is pretty good.

I noticed a make-your-own-sandwich card that had a nice selection of breads and stuffings and opted for a smoked chicken salami sandwich with peppers, olives, lettuce, cheese etc. Mr. H chose a veggie wood burger and we also asked for a cold black coffee and a mocha-choco.

My eyes then wandered off to their dessert counter and after eying all the tempting things there, I asked for a date pudding.

Our drinks arrived soon along with the date pudding. My cold coffee was excellent but the cream on top was quite heavy, not that I didn’t like it 🙂 It was not very milky or sugary, something I find lacking at majority of the places. Mr. H loved his iced black coffee and said it was very refreshing.

Date pudding was quite enjoyable. It was fresh and not very sweet or heavy on the palate. There was a thin layer of brown sugar frosting on top that was delicious. Do try out this dessert if you have a sweet tooth.

Rest of our order arrived soon after. I loved my sandwich and have nothing to complain 🙂 Their in-house bread was fresh and lightly toasted. It was not dunked in oil/butter, like many cafes do. Veggies were fresh and smoked salami was delicious.

Burger was quite big and the top bun had a lot of oil on it for some reason(photo was taken after blotting up the oil). The bun was massive and almost overpowered the comparatively petite patty. I would have liked to see a leaner bun instead.

We wanted to try one more dish from their menu before leaving, and asked for a portion of corny quesadilla. It was generously stuffed with corn, cheese, peppers etc and tasted nice.

I would definitely recommend this place for its delicious food and great service. They do have a breakfast menu as well, which I’m sure is as good as their lunch menu.
