Chavadi is a beautiful place tucked away from the hustle bustle of the city and the ever busy Bannerghatta Road. If you are looking for a quiet rooftop place with quirky cocktails and yummy food, this is where you should go.
This week, after an afternoon movie in JP Nagar, I suggested this place for a late lunch and snacks. So after braving traffic on bannerghatta road, we reached here and I must say this was worth all the traffic.
The place is located on 4th floor of Arama suites off Bannerghatta Road. Ambiance is beautiful and perfect for family, and romantic dates too 🙂 Since it’s located on the terrace, it’s quite airy and is surrounded with beautiful glass bottles and pots. Their bar counter is small, but looks charming.
The place was almost empty when we reached around 4:30 p.m. and surprisingly stayed so till the time we left. Their menu was filled with delicious dishes, and we ordered for 2 veg nutty burgers, veg overload pizza and a portion of fries. Gentlemen ordered beers and ladies, a special masala chai and a jalapeno margarita(server’s recommendation).
Fries were good and crisp, sprinkled with a little chilli powder. Burgers were good in size and they had customized them according to our requirements.
Pizza was lovely and loaded with veggies (as the name suggested). The crust was baked to perfection, and I loved the fact that their tomato sauce was not overpowering. I’m going to add this to my “best pizzas” list 😀
Now the drinks. Their special tea was much appreciated by my mother. It had a lovely aroma of cardamom and perfect for the cold windy weather, that Bangaloreans are enjoying these days.
I wasn’t expecting anything special from my jalapeno margarita, but for someone who hates jalapenos, I fell in love with this drink! Unusual flavours and highly recommended.
After we finished all this, Mr.H said we should order another pie. So I did, and this time it was Popeye’s favourite. We also ordered another round of beers and a tamarind margarita.
The second pizza was equally delicious, overloaded with corn, spinach and cheese. And Popeye’s favourite turned out to be my favourite too!
Tamarind margarita didn’t really have any flavour of tamarind, it suspiciously tasted like long island, not that I’m complaining 🙂
We wiped all our plates clean and left the places happy. their prices are not very high and easy on the pocket.
For everyone who thinks Koramangala and Indiranagar are the best places to grab a drink, I would highly recommend this beautiful place. I’m definitely going back for more pies and margaritas!
