It had been a while since we went to UB City for food. Over the weekend, everyone agreed for Chinese/Thai and I decided to tick off another place on my list 🙂 And we headed to Singkong.
It is located in the beautiful UB City piazza and we decided to sit out, since it was not hot and we could also have a view of the food fest which was going on there.
The gentlemen ordered beers and ladies sangrias. For appetizer, hubby thought popiah looked interesting. Service was good and everything appeared shortly.
Sangrias were excellent, actually one of the best in the city I guess. They were fresh and fruity, absolutely delicious! Popiah was good too. The wrap was delicate and I loved the soy sauce that the vegetables were tossed in.
For main course we ordered a veg fried rice, Singaporean black pepper paneer and Thai green curry(chicken) with jasmine rice.
Veg fried rice was not greasy and tasted good. Paneer was soft and fresh, and was an instant favourite.
Thai curry was exquisite. I think it’s one of the best Thai curries I’ve tasted so far. There was perfect balance of flavours, and well cooked melt-in-your-mouth chicken. I almost wiped the bowl clean 😀 Jasmine rice had a delicate fragrance and went perfectly well with the curry.
Highly recommend this place for it’s delectable curries and and sangrias.
