Harry’s Bar + Cafe, Koramangala

Looking for super-boozy drinks with some seriously good food? Head to Harry’s Bar & cafe in Koramangala. I had been to their Whitefield outlet before and loved that too, but now I think I’m slightly biased towards this one.

We usually stay in on Friday nights, thanks to the mad traffic outside. But this Friday, after a restaurant goofed up our home delivery order, we headed out for dinner. And as luck would have it, we didn’t get any table in Fenny’s and Social.

I had Harry’s also on my mind, so we finally went there and bingo! Got a table immediately. The place had booming music and was almost packed. Well, almost 🙂

The place was a little too dark and it was kind of difficult to see the menu also. We settled down and ordered for a mojito, black scotsman and a portion of nachomacho.

I was starving and thankfully their service was quick. Both the drinks were great, though I would have loved to have a little less sugar in them.

Nachomacho was delicious except for the re-fried beans which were very spicy and didn’t taste that nice. Nachos were not house-made but nevertheless, tasty. They were loaded with cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, salsa and beans. Perfect appetizer for hungry tummies.

Mr.H said he wasn’t very hungry, and ordered for Bombay spiced wedges and twisted whiskey sizzle 😀 And i decided I shouldn’t leave the place with my favourite long island, so I ordered for an LIT and grilled fish fillet.

Their DJ was playing mostly latest hits till then, all of a sudden I got to hear “jumma chumma de de”! Wow! And then some of the crowd converted the small area near pool table to a  dance floor 😀

Our second round of drinks was even more delicious.  Hubby said his whiskey drink was great. it was gingery and had a lovely citrus flavour, and not overly sweet. My LIT was stiff, but excellent.

Bombay wedges were superb. Crisp and perfectly fried, and coated with a mouthwatering spice blend. I absolutely loved the grilled fish. Unlike most of the places they hadn’t overcooked the fillets and their butter sauce was totally drool-worthy. Grilled veggies and potato mash were the perfect accompaniments to this lovely dish.

We left the place high and happy. I would definitely recommend this place and come back here for more.
