Went here after a long while for some desserts and was tempted to try everything on the familiar looking delectable menu 🙂 I finally settled on a raspberry peach pavlova and tangerine chocolate ganache dome, thanks to the mouth-watering description.
Both the desserts were packed well in leak-proof containers and retained their shape on my way back home.
As for the taste, I somehow didn’t like either of them much. Raspberry pavlova had canned, but stale raspberries which had spoilt the whole taste of what could have been a lovely dessert.
I tried to separate rest of the meringue and whipped cream, but the stale fruits had seeped in and spoilt the taste 😦
Tangerine chocolate ganache dome was basically hard frozen ganache. There was no flavour of orange peel(as claimed on their menu) to contrast and balance the rich chocolate. Their pistachio joconde was way too dense for my liking.
What used to be a favourite, didn’t work me this time around. Disappointed.
Time for some trivia 🙂 There are theories about pavlova’s origins. Initially touted as having originated in New Zealand and Australia, more recent studies say it has more of American and English origins.
Here’s the recipe if you want to create this delicate dessert.
