Medium crush pizza and more @Cafe Nation, Koramangala

I’m pretty sure you are thinking of pointing out the typo (medium crush) in my heading. Don’t worry, it’s not one 🙂

I think we have now run out of yet-to-be-tried places in Kormangala and HSR that serve thin crust pizzas. Over the weekend, we were wandering in JNC lane, Koramangala looking for another restaurant, when Mr. H spotted this place and we decided to try out the pizzas here.

It’s a cafe with very simple and neat decor, and a big menu which boasts of different kinds of burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, waffles and much more. They have a tempting breakfast menu too, I’m hoping I’ll get to try it sometime 🙂

While scanning their menu, my eyes fell upon their “medium crush” pizzas and I was intrigued. I decided to have some fun(evil me :D) and asked our server what a medium crush pizza was. He seemed unfazed by my curiosity, and actually tried to explain that it was somewhere in between thick and thin crush (crust) 🙂

We finally ordered for a takeaway of spinach & mushroom pizza, Mexican cheese & chicken roll and a farmer’s burger. Our server said the order will take 15-20 minutes, so we started rummaging through their dessert menu and asked for a “between the waffle”.

Our dessert took a while to arrive. It had some vanilla ice-cream sandwiched between a folded waffle, and some chocolate syrup on top. Waffle was not thin as written on the menu, and toppings consisted of an overload of cashew nuts. Such a bummer 😦 Vanilla ice-cream was alright, but chocolate ice-cream tasted a bit off.

We finally reached home with rest of our nicely packed order. Their pizza didn’t look appetizing at all, but tasted divine. Pizzas here have 6″ bases, so order accordingly. Crust was well baked, and I loved the generous toppings of spinach, fresh mushrooms and oodles of cheese. Will definitely recommend this.

Farmer’s burger looked good in size, and was accompanied by fries. Bread was fresh and soft, but the patty could have been bigger. It seemed lost between the big burger buns and lettuce.

Mexican wrap was well stuffed with peppers, onions and chicken sausages, but there was no cheese 😦 It tasted delicious though, peppers were well seasoned and wrap tasted fresh.

Nice place with reasonably good food at low prices, but slow service. Will definitely go back to try out some more yummy things on their menu.
