We were on a lookout for sizzlers this weekend and decided to try out Yana sizzlers.
I think we reached the place too early and their upstairs dining area was not open. We chose a table near window overlooking the busy street.
The place has very basic decor, no music too, which is a good thing at times.
They have a wide range of sizzlers and steaks, which you can customize with different sauces. They have even got pastas and some Chinese staples on their menu!
Our server was very helpful and explained the sauces and sizzlers well. We ordered a vegetable satellite (I was on yet another vegetarian streak) with mushroom sauce, bbq stuffed mushroom sizzler and a peach iced tea.
Their place mats are interesting, covered with crosswords and other games to kill time while waiting for food.
Our sizzlers arrived fairly soon or maybe we were too engrossed in the games to notice 😀
Veggie satellite was great. The cutlets were super delicious and mushroom sauce was yummy. It was accompanied with loads of sauteed veggies and chunky fries. Some more sauce would have been great though. I was left with dry rice after finishing the top layer 😦
Needless to say, my photography skills have gone from bad to worse 😛
Bbq mushroom sizzler was equally good. The sauce was not too hot, just like we had requested.
Peach iced tea was quite refreshing and not overly sweet.
I ended my meal with a triple chocolate cake from my favorite Krispy Kreme 🙂 Sounds sinful? Well, it was!
Overall an excellent meal, definitely recommended.
