Friday night dinners are tricky things. We both usually feel like eating out, but then the traffic turns out to be a nightmare most of times. So last friday, we decided to go to Napoli since this was not very far.
It was drizzling and we had struggle a bit for parking. Mind you, they don’t have valet parking or any reserved parking area.
We reached around 8:30 to find the place almost empty, and we chose a table near the window. By 9’o clock the place was packed and even got somewhat noisy. Their decor is very simple, but I didn’t like the way tables were arranged. They have crammed in as many tables as they can.
The waiter handed us the menus and they have a decent variety of things. I was somewhat taken aback to see nachos and quesadillas on the menu, since this is an Italian place. I guess nachos have been included in almost every restaurant’s menu in Bangalore 🙂
Now, since there were nachos on the menu, we thought why not! We also ordered for red and white wines. Nachos arrived soon, and looked quite yum. Unfortunately I have only one picture of the half finished plate 😀
Nachos were out-of-the-packet kind but nonetheless, delicious. Nachos were crisp and beans were well done, gooey and cheesy. Salsa was fresh and perfectly seasoned.
We ordered for a veg exotica pizza for main course and some more wine. Despite the place being crowded by now, our order didn’t take very long. The pizza was nice (though I’ve had better pizzas), crust was a little burnt at the edges. But I’d let that go because of the quick service and taste. We wanted to try out their pastas as well, so ordered for primavera pasta. It turned out to be delicious with lots of mushrooms and peppers.
Their prices are not high, so I was happy with the bill too 🙂
Will definitely recommend.
