Sancho’s, UB City

This place had been on our list for quite some time, and finally we made it over the weekend. We reached around 8’o clock and were fortunate to get a table outside. It got crowded after a while.

We ordered for draft beer, campeche bay margarita, and small portions of fiesta nachos and molletitos.

Our server informed they wouldn’t serve draft beer after 8:00 pm, which sounded a little strange.
Anyway, it didn’t take very long for food and drinks to arrive. Their “small” portions are really small, so you need to order accordingly if you are hungry. Nachos were good, but nothing exceptional. I’ve had better nachos. Molletitos were average.
Draft beer was a little watery, and my margarita tasted somewhat syrupy. I didn’t quite like it.

We decided to have another round of drinks, since all the other places nearby looked crowded by then. Ordered for another beer, cancun tea(since it looked very similar to my favorite liit), small portions of potato skins and chimichangas. Cancun tea turned to be potent and absolutely delicious. Chimichangas were a little too oily for my taste and potato skins were good.

I noticed a DJ as well, who took some time to set up his equipment. We were hoping to listen to some good music, but unfortunately he never started playing.

Have mixed feelings about this place. They’ve got good service, average food, some good drinks if you choose wisely and the lovely ambience of UB city. Worth trying out once.
