Mango Tree, JP Nagar

We were a group of 4 and were looking for a place to dine after our movie got over. This place looked good on zomato, and we decided to give it a try. We reached around 9:30 on saturday and the place was full. Thankfully it took only around 5-10 mins to get a table.

It’s a lovely open place surrounded by greenery and a huge tree, not sure if it’s mango 🙂

If you think of decor, this place has almost nothing. But it still looks quite nice, tables are widely placed, so it doesn’t look congested even when it’s completely full.

We ordered for some sula red and white, soup and veg hara bhara kebab, crispy chilli potato, masala papads as starters. Both starters were decent. They could’ve fried the papad so that it remained crispy for a longer duration.

For main course we ordered rotis, dal makhni, paneer makhni, veg bageecha(not sure if this is the correct name) and chicken biryani. All the dishes were delicious. I was quite surprised by the really nice dal makhni, wasn’t expecting it! Chicken biryani was great, a little hot for my taste but I didn’t really mind.

Service was a bit slow, probably because the place was full and they don’t have many servers.

And now the best part, their prices. No taxes at all!! For 4 of us,so much food and drinks it came up to only around 3k!

Will definitely go back if I am in that area.
Must try: dal makhni and biryani.
