Koshy’s, St. Marks Road

Guess this place was good once upon a time, not so anymore.

We were in the area over the weekend, so thought of giving this place a try for breakfast.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a crowd outside around 8:30 in the morning. People rushed in the moment doors opened and we somehow managed to get a table.

I was happy to see the menu, especially the appams. But it all went downhill from there. We placed an order for tea in a pot, veg spanish omlette and cheese and tomato toast.

Now one would expect that these are things which are quickest to prepare, but looking at the crowd we thought maybe it’ll take a little longer.
Little longer turned out to be around half an hour, and by the time toast was served, it was stone cold. Spanish omlette was great, but again cold.

I was quite annoyed by this time, but my husband was not ready to give up yet and we ordered appams with veg stew, since most of the people around were ordering it. This took another half an hour and by the time we left I vouched never to come back again.

Clearly this place is over hyped, I suppose there are now plenty of places which serve great breakfast. Maybe these guys don’t bother about the service and food anymore.
